An important part of IAVGO's mandate is to work for positive change in workers' compensation policy and legislation to improve the health, safety and compensation for workers in Ontario. Some of this work is done through IAVGO's participation in coalitions with other progressive groups, some is done through lobbying government, and some is done by taking on test cases.

IAVGO also engages in law reform by responding to proposed changes to workers' compensation law and policy. Below is a list of submissions we have made to the WSIB and the Ministry of Labour in the last several years. Click on the title to read the submission.
